Rinkside Sani is a professional equipment sanitization service that uses waterless ozone technology to clean, disinfect, and deodorize athletic gear in about 12 minutes per cycle. Ozone gas circulates throughout the equipment and reaches the areas that are difficult to clean by hand, eliminating 98% of bacteria — including MRSA — and 100% of viruses, including Influenza, without soaking, harsh chemicals, or water damage. All that is left behind is fresh, clean oxygen.

Our service is built for athletes and the facilities that support them. That includes individual hockey players looking for a convenient way to care for their gear, youth hockey organizations and booster clubs, travel teams, and the rinks, pro shops, school athletic departments, and college programs that want to offer equipment care on-site. Players drop off their gear at an authorized location and pick it up fresh within 24 hours, and rinks can explore hosting a machine to serve their whole community.

Rinkside Sani is founded and operated by Michael Tran, a student-athlete at Boston University studying Applied Mathematics and Economics. As an athlete himself, he saw how difficult it is to keep sports equipment clean and fresh between practices and games, and set out to bring professional-level sanitizing technology — already used by 28 NHL teams, 17 NFL teams, 6 MLB teams, and 165 military and law enforcement agencies — to athletes at every level.
